Postcard Of The Month Club 2011
A monthly mail-art club created over the course of 2011, the project forced me to create a new card design each month to print, write, and send. The club grew over the course of the year, and late members were “caught up” with a welcome kit. I could not have anticipated the positive response or fun I had with this project, but I’m grateful for the support it received!
January - “1. good or bad, use the lessons of last year to shine brighter in this one” This year’s postcard was made using my 2010 card as a stencil. The idea is not to forget last year, but to use it as a stepping stone.
February - Do you like me, or do you “like” like me? Is it “Facebook official”? February is a tough month for the word “love,” so I thought I’d give “like” a chance.
March - A little luck never hurt anyone!
April - Seeya later, winter! April’s design is a message frozen in a block of ice… but not for long.
May - Are the glasses half empty or half full? You decide. Either way, two half-glasses make a whole.
June - New season, new leaf. Time for growth and change… if you want it.
July - After all the tourist traps and rest stops, sometimes it’s just nice to be home. Greetings from breakfast. Greetings from routine. Greetings from home.
August - Get up, get out, let’s go! It’s SUMMERTIME, and it’s not over yet!
September - This golden ticket is a reminder to work hard and try even harder, because your goals might be more attainable than you think.
October - Treat or Trick? Too much of a good thing is not a good thing!
November - Keep up the good work! Sometimes a little reminder that we’re doing well is all we need.
December - We’ve reached the end of our thread, so there’s really just one thing left to say.
