Week In Scraps
Week In Scraps is equal parts autobiography and exploration, taking time to process the ephemera of daily life and cherish the small things that are often overlooked. Individually they aren’t much, but collected over time they tell the true story of my existence.
I created weekly collages for over four years, documenting new cities, experiences, relationships and a lot of small, but special moments. As someone whose work is particularly concerned with preservation and small-scale, inexpensive, accessible art, this served as useful research for ideas that have come since.
The physical scraps were shown twice, once for 2 hours in Brooklyn and once at The Pitch Project in Milwaukee as part of Designers Talking. The project, which lived on tumblr, unexpectedly caught on across instagram as #myweekinscraps
